My teaching interests include research methods, political communication, media processes and effects, and emerging media. At Center for Political Studies (CPS), I've put together a workshop in qualitative methods for SESRI (Social and Economic Survey Research Institute at Qatar University). As a graduate student at the University of Michigan, I spent ten terms as a graduate student instructor, one term as a grader, and helped develop materials for both an undergraduate and a graduate course in quantitative research methods. I've supervised and mentored undergraduate researchers for four years through the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, Directed Study, and the Summer Research Opportunity Program. My students have won a top poster award at the annual research symposium and a competitive award to participate in summer research.
